Today we’re bringing a major update to the extension on Firefox with the following improvements and new features:
- New icon for the extension
- More user-friendly popup menu
- Enhanced capture functionality
- More image annotation tools
- New Record feature for screen recording
- Cloud storage and share link for recordings
Below is brief how-to guide to the new Record feature. Please note that sign-in is required to record and save screen videos. To record a screen video, basic steps are as follow.
- click the extension icon to open the popup menu
- select Record screen video or Camera only based on your needs
- click Start Recording in the new tab that appears after step 2
- click select Window or Screen then select one
- come back to the tab that shows recording status and click Stop
You can get a shareable link right after finishing your recording to share with your teammates, clients, friends and families, etc.

Awesome Screenshot Blog 
Is there a way of changing the resolution of the screenshots captured by awesomescreenshot? Currently I find that if I capture a webpage and save it as a pdf, the text is slightly blurred when I open the saved document.

He’s right you know. To test it, simply capture this page and then open it up as a PDF. Blurry text.

good, this is a very useful plugin, sometime it doesn’t work properly but in general very useful, hope the new version fixes some issues

When I use the capture selected area function on a large enough area I need to scroll down on a page that has a moving header like Facebook the header becomes part of the screenshot :(. The only way I see that would fix it is to just scroll back up first. But if I scroll up I can’t click the capture button. Is there a keyboard shortcut to capture the image?

We’ll look into this issue and fix it as soon as possible. For now, please try capturing entire page then use Crop tool to select the area you need.

Please rollback to your previous version, the new version gets stuck in load mode. I already reported this issue.The old version had its bugs, but at least it worked better.With the new version, even if I take a screenshot of the same page, one time it works then the next time its stuck in load mode. I uninstalled then tried to reinstall the add-on to see if it would work better and now I cannot find awesome screenshot what’s going on? The old version was pretty awesome. Thank you!
