Integrate with collaborative tools to streamline bug/issue reporting workflow

Are you a member of a quality assurance team?  Do you use awesome screenshot to capture bugs/issues and send them to your project management tools?  If you do it very often, you will find it’s a quite tedious process. Here are the steps:

  1. Take a screenshot of the bug/issue
  2. Save the screenshot to local disk as a file
  3. Open your project management tool
  4. Write a bug/issue ticket
  5. Add the screenshot as an attachment to the ticket
  6. Submit the ticket

With new Awesome screenshot for Team feature.  The workflow will be simplified as the following steps:

  1. Take screenshot
  2. Write a bug/issue ticket
  3. Submit it.

It’s a great time saver for quality assurance teams.

Currently, Awesome Screenshot supports Slack, Trello, Asana, Github.  Let us know if you want to integrate more collaborative apps. Check out the basic introduction video to see how it works!

 

 

Support more cloud storage services

You can save screenshots to Dropbox and Box with the basic premium plan now. Saving to Google Drive is free as it was before.

Improve annotation interface

We redesigned the user interface of the annotation page to provide a better user experience.

Support dark theme

Finally, a dark theme for the popup menu is available now.  You can enable it in the extension setting page.

  1. Thanks for this update! But it seems to also introduce a bug when working with multiple browser windows.
    I can no longer capture screenshots in the second browser window. It’ll always make a snapsnot of the active tab from the first window.

  2. This is an awesome update! The only real issue I have is that you took out the URL shortening feature. I used it on ALL my URL shares as the native URL is excessively long!! Please bring back this feature, this can be done with Google Shortener API or hosting all future images on a shorter version of your domain. Ex: awsh.com/image-title

  3. I am often forced to use another screen capture program because it saves also PDF. It would be nice if you could do this too.

  4. it does not capture the selected area properly if zoom is used in the browser

  5. If you could add the option to save source audio along with the Capture Video function that would make it useful. Video without the captured audio is of no use to me. I’d definitely pay for that.
